About
Join us at the SAT for a concert featuring the soundtracks from the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and from season 1 of David Lynch's iconic series, performed live by an ensemble of eight musicians led by Jean-Philippe Audin! Bang Bang Bar vibe!
This exceptional concert will be presented for the first time across the Atlantic on the initiative of SAT, AEG and as part of the Montreal International Jazz Festival. It will resurrect the jazzy, gothic notes of an original soundtrack that is remembered for its lascivious score, borrowed as much from the synthetic wave of the 1980s as from the gloomy world of detective stories.
This concert is a tribute to David Lynch, of course, but also to Angelo Badalamenti, the director's regular composer and great accomplice, who gave birth to the famous, macabre and obsessive theme of Twin Peaks, and to this soundtrack, somewhere between broken lift jazz, tearful dream pop, gothic new age and easy listening. Above all, he brought this project to life by proposing Jean-Philippe Audin as musical director to form his octet 18 years ago.
This concert was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009, at the Ars Cameralis Festival at the invitation of David Lynch, and at the Divan du Monde in the presence of the director... on stage!
Twin Peaks-inspired costumes are welcome!
Please note that this show is a concert and not a cinema concert.
