Lola Marsh make their Festival debut

Somewhere between The Dø, Lana Del Rey and Moriarty, this Tel Aviv duo formed in 2013 has set the blogosphere ablaze, making their name as the hottest new discover in pop-folk. Their first EP hadn’t even been released when their first two tracks, Sirens and You’re Mine racked up 3 million listens in record time on Spotify.
Yael Shoshana Cohen is the young singer with a beauty as spellbinding as her voice. Before meeting her partner, she studied music and sang on the cabaret scene. One fine day, her voice “broke,” emerging in an even more gorgeous form: husky, gentle, delicate. Meanwhile, Gil Landau, who was playing in psychedelic rock band The Butlers, would move on to craft sublime arrangements and heavenly melodies to frame that voice. Their sound is all whispers, murmurs, elegance and sensuality: a unique style that plunges the listener into an orchestral pop-folk with decidedly cinematic, intoxicating accents. This Israeli duo is truly one to watch, with their debut album, Remember Roses, due on June 9. And when they promise, “It will be even wilder than the EP, the sound of a dream,” you know they mean business!
